Prestige Room

Gomez

Louis and Benjamin GOMEZ were leading architects in the Basque Country in the first half of the 20th century. They are also known for creating the Basque-Landes style and the seaside resort of Hossegor. They also designed numerous buildings along the coast (Guéthary, St Jean de Luz, etc.) and inland. The RESAURIE house was built in 1922 by the GOMEZ brothers. This room pays tribute to them and you will find some plans from their architectural firm from the Bayonne departmental archives.

Symbol

An authentic plaque depicting the Art Deco bas-relief of the Folies Bergères dates from the same period as the building itself.
